Two prizes for best films and one special award for Short Film Support films in “Salamat Festival”

Films sent by Short Film Support Company thrived to catch prizes of best documentary, fiction and “Professor Sadeghi” award in documentary section of Salamat Festival.

Short Film Support Company reports that in final ceremony of 1st Salamat national festival of film and photograph which was held in Simorgh cultural center (Neyshabour, Iran), between seven films of Short Film Support in this event, three could win prizes.

In documentary part, “Life as Gift” by Shermin Mojtahed Zadeh and Majid Saeidi won the best documentary. “Professor Sadeghi” award went to “Earth’s disheveled tress” by Mehdi Yarmohamadi and Azam Najafian with “Tomorrow, early in the morning” caught best fiction prize.

In this ceremony Mehdi Yarmohamadi before receiving his prize said: “I should thank health and medical education Ministry for planning health insurance, because for the first time it helped me have health insurance card after ten years of membership in Iran’s Cinema House!”

He also said that: “In my film settlers of a village in west of Iran were busy celebrating “Eid Ghorban” then they are chemical bombarded by Iraqi forces while there is no war anymore and four days has  passed  598 Security Council Resolution and now after years they are still suffering the consequences.”

He dedicated his award as well as previous prizes of this film to some cancer patients in the village and hoped that it would be like a flip to remind authorities to take care of these people’s problems and at the end requested health and medical education Ministry to review the diagnosis medical commission process of chemical claimants.

Shermin Mojtahed Zadeh after receiving her prize, paid a tribute to her late actress friend, Assal Badiei and said that donation of her organs attracted a serious attention to this issue in Iran and hoped that one day the mentality and behavior of Iranian people would accept this act warmly.

First place: A Gift Named Life (Shermin Mojtahed Zadeh& Majid saeidi)

Second place: Wound (Seyyed Mehdi Mousavi)

Third place: Allah Yar (Ahmad Nik Farjam)

“Professor Sadeghi” award: Earth’s disheveled tress (Mehdi Yarmohamadi)

Winners of the best fiction:

First place: Tomorrow,early in the morning (Azam Najafian)

Second place: A Little Prettier (Jalaal Yazdani)

Third place: Amir’s room (Behnam Darvishpour)

“Professor Sadeghi” award: Being 80 years old (Reza Jamali)

Winners of the best photographer:

First place: Ehsan Kamali

Third place: Seyyed Ali Hosseinifar

“Professor Sadeghi” award: Jalaal Shams Azaran

It should be mentioned that 1st edition of Salamat national festival of film and photograph was held with the purpose of Promoting the social awareness about public health and sanitary concepts by Faculty of medical sciences and health services of Neyshabour.
