15^th Iranian Film Festival (Yari) in Sweden awarded its best director prize to Ghazaleh Soltani for Futile Garden.

Futile Garden that is distributed by Short Film Support Company is the story of a family who passes through the rush of Tehran in order to realize their dreams.

Yari Film Festival is held yearly by Yari Charity Assosiation in Sweden. Yari Charity has been founded with the goal of help to Iranian vulnerable children and the earnings of festival films’ tickets are dedicated to these children.

It must be added that Ali Zamani Esmati won the best feature director prize for Captivation in this edition of the festival.

In final ceremony, Masoud  Raygan and Roya Teymourian  represented Ghazaleh Soltani and Ali Zamani Esmati to take their prizes.

This year 6 features and 13 short films and documentaries competed in this event.

Futile Garden has already been presented in festivals of Clermont ferrand (France), Short Film Corner (Cannes), main contest of WIZ-ART (Ukraine), competition of best shorts in JAGRAN (India), Thai Short Film and Video Festival, main contest of CONCORTO (Italy) and has won 37^th Clermont ferrand festival’s best student film award.

The 15^th Iranian film festiavl Yari occurred on 3-4 October 2015 in Stockholm and Uppsala, Sweden by Sheyda Shafiei and Short Film News’ support.
